Alessio Martinetti

Roma – Italia

Long-standing and consolidated managerial experience in the banking/financial, academic ( Unier ) and consultancy fields , gained at leading national and international groups: Deutsche Bank, MPS Capital Services, Banca Antonveneta (ABN AMRO group), BNL (BNP Paribas group), as well as regional institutions (Credito Cooperativo and Banca Popolare), holding companies and financial companies (Next4 Group, Infinity Business Management and FinRe Group), fintech (Payray Bank UAB), and the associative world (ABI).

Skills in credit evaluation, relationship management, financial assessments and analysis, business planning, origination of corporate finance operations, analysis of the training needs of the resources managed and related preparation of the training plan, bancassurance, finance/risk management and compliance, combined with decision-making, relationship management, negotiation skills and strong organizational skills, have always characterized the achievement of the set objectives.

Leadership skills in wide-ranging contexts, where the project being managed needs to be supported by the cooperation of different company functions, in circumstances where it is necessary to know how to balance business needs with project needs and in conditions of high stress linked to particular critical situations.

Achieving performances deemed to be excellent, through the effective and efficient management of the collaborators for whom he is responsible as well as the optimal use of existing financial and technical resources, in harmony with the general directions and policies agreed with the top management of the various companies with which he has collaborated.

He is currently CEO of FinRe Finance srl, a fintech credit brokerage company of which he is also the founder, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Next4 Group (club deal and holding company), in addition to holding other positions (President and CEO) in the group’s companies.

Until December 2022 he held the position of “ Country Manager”  of a foreign bank, supervised by the ECB, and in a few months he managed to make the Institute ready for Italian operations.

Previously, he served as “ CEO  and  Member of the Board of Directors”  of a newly established credit brokerage firm and as “ Senior Partner”  in a financial consultancy boutique.

Previously, he held the role of ” General Manager” at a BCC, dealing with the reorganization of the credit (and NPL) and commercial areas, obviously following the controls and legislative innovations, so that the Institute was compliant with the various bodies responsible for checks.
In detail, with regard to the credit area, he found a situation where NPLs were a significant part of the total loans. To define this situation, he proceeded to carry out securitization and transfer operations, after a detailed analysis of the various positions: thus he managed to contain the past and resolve the problem. He created a specific NPL area, which manages both the remaining previous positions and the performing ones that show signs of criticality, in order to intervene promptly to administer and, where possible, resolve such problems.

As regards new assignments, however, it has modified the decision-making process, creating a virtuous circle of subsequent evaluation and analysis steps, based on the different decision-making powers. As regards commercial activity, it has guided, on the one hand, the rationalization of the product catalog and, on the other, the introduction of new agreements and services for customers, both retail/private and corporate. Furthermore, it has signed collaboration agreements with numerous confidi, financial and insurance companies to offer new products and services, necessary to satisfy the needs of existing customers and to expand the base of prospective customers. Furthermore, it should be noted that the organizational structure of the branches has been revised, with the closure of a branch in a less commercial area and the opening of a new branch – with a corporate vocation – in an area with a strong commercial and industrial presence. Finally, it has completed an important work on the cost front: a “horizontal cut” from 20 to 40% on consultancy and other administrative costs. As regards personnel, he wanted to implement a new evaluation process, through objective assignment sheets and subsequent analysis, and he proceeded, downstream of these activities, to plan training, both technical and role-based.

During his professional career – lasting over 30 years – in the largest groups (Deutsche Bank, BNPP Paribas, ABN AMRO), he also held positions in various European countries (London, Frankfurt, Barcelona and Lugano), while in Italy he worked in practically all regions, in the various roles covered: “ Partner/senior consultant” , “ Manager/head of business centre” , then “ Area manager”,  “ Sales director and Marketing manager”  and finally “ General Manager”, “CEO/Country Manager” and “President/Managing Director” .

In 2023, the volume “Banca 4.0 e Fintech” was published, written together with the lawyer Prof. Marco Croce, and published in the Management and Ethical Finance series of the Pontifical Athenaeum of the Holy Cross.
